The Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is a nice Resort. However, we didn't have much time to really enjoy the property. We spent 2 out of the 4 days we stayed there on full day excursions. One was Scuba Diving and one was a full day excursion to Maya Bay and the Phi Phi Islands. We stayed in a Premium Room with our own Plunge Pool the view from our Pool and balcony was exceptional. The Beach was above average, and they have a small water Park set in a Jungle like atmosphere which was really cool. The staff were very friendly and respectful. I only have 2 minor complaints, the first being there was only one elevator in Building 1 to go to the 3rd floor where our room was located our room was in building 2. So, we ended up hiking up multiple flights of stairs to get to our room. The resort is also located quite a way from the main part of Karon Beach so not much in the way of nearby restaurants except those at the Resort. The food at the Resort Restaurants was rather good. We ate at the Coast Bistro, The Cove and Ripples. Thank you Grand Centara Staff I would stay there again.

Beautiful property, rooms, and pools. They upgraded us (from King Seaview Spa to King Seaview with private pool) which was very cool! Breakfast is an impressive buffet. 5-10 min walk to lots of restaurants and local shopping and massage (all of which is of course cheaper than the resort). Many resorts I looked at had beach or seaview in the name or room names but were just near beaches (walk through town). You pay more but this is actually on the beach and gorgeous. It is at the north end of the beach so more secluded than other areas - good snorkeling just around the rocky edge north of the beach. Lots of free activities. The minor complaints would be our big blinds were messed up (got them down and they wouldn't go back up but when I reported it they had it fixed within the hour). On check out they had a large meal charged to us that wasn't ours but they fixed it. Overall great stay and amazing resort.

Jelaporn and I have visited Phuket on several occasions. The Centsra Grand Beach Resort on Karon Beach is a facility where all aspects are of superior quality. Karon Beach is beautiful, large.and uncrowdrd. Soft sand with an easy incline that facilitates entry to the ocean for every age. The campus here is expansive. There is a water park that winds through the grounds complete with waterfalls, slides and tubing canals. There is a large family pool, a kiddie pool and an adults only pool. These facilities are surrounded by restaurants and beverage bars that accomodate both casual dining and formal fare. Drinks vary from traditional cocktails, specialty fruit cocktails, wines and a variety of nonalcoholic beverages. We stayed at Centera Beach Resort for four days and three nights and never felt the need to leave the campus. The staff here is friendly and well spoken. Most are well versed in English and anxious to help.
