"Our stay was exactly how we wanted it… peaceful & beautiful. I believe we booked prior to the pool issue so was unaware that was out of commission until we arrived, otherwise everything was great. The beds are comfy and just mere steps to the sand. Super close to St Andrew’s which was on the top of our To Do list this time as we had never been. "My family and I enjoyed our vacation stay at Colonial Shores. Owner upgraded our room at no additional charge and without me even asking. Would have given 5 stars, but bathroom fan did not work and fold out couch mattress was stained. Asked Manager not to fix during our stay. As nice as they were, I am sure they were not aware of the problem and have since fixed both problems. Will stay here again and would recommend to friends."

"It was awful! The pillows were flat! The online description was NOTHING like the actual appearance of the hotel and they did not understand me when I told them a nonsmokers room in person AND in the reservation that I did 2 weeks prior to staying! And room service came around ONCE!And then another maintenance man i guess you would call him just walked into out room WITHOUT a knock on the door first! Will NOT be staying there again!"

"Awesome location, right on the beach! Beautiful pool, great staff for the most part, only one girl at checkin could have been friendlier, but everyone else was great. Room was clean, bathroom is small and the lighting was very dim in the bathroom. Please put a brighter light in bath of Room 409! Elevators were a little fussy at check-in but seemed to work fine later. The pool was sparkling and refreshing! I will be back!"
