"Location : around 7-10 min walk to the nearest station Namba. 3 min walk to Lawson. 10 min walk to takashimaya shopping mall.
Room: don’t expect the room in big city like Osaka will give you a spacious room. At least for me it is reasonable size for a solo traveller
Breakfast: free breakfast. The quality and variety is better than I expected even though it is free of charge.
Staff: nice staff
Highly recommended for budget traveller "
"I didn't know that they have North and South buidlings. I have stayed there several times, but I always stayed in the North. Elevators in the North stop at the 2nd floor. You can to go a convenient store (Lawson) and also at the same floor as the two train station (JR and Nankai). Airline check-in counters are also located on the 2nd floor. But if you stay in the South, the elevators do not stop at the 2nd floor. So you need to go through the Front Desk area, go to the North elevators to go up to the 2nd floor. That was the only inconvenience to be assigned to a room in the South."
"this accomodation was our favourite during our 3 week trip to Japan. we were amazed by how nice our stay was, the inside was immaculate and kept clean and the staff were so friendly our entire stay. Our room was so spacious compared to all our other stays it was definitely worth upgrading to the bigger room as we had so much room and in the bathroom with the shower as well. location was also very convenient with the entry for the train station being right next door. could not recommend this place enough for anyone looking for somewhere in Osaka!"
"This hotel was amazing! We absolutely loved our stay and it was the standard by which I measured all the other hotels on my trip throughout Japan. We stayed here for 5 nights.
When we arrived, I was immediately welcomed by the staff and received my room expeditiously. The hotel itself is beautiful and very conveniently located above a major metro station, although I never heard any trains from my room while I was there.
The room itself was very comfortable! We had 1.5 bathrooms and were on the top floor! I don’t remember which room option I booked but this one was very comfortable. It felt like a small apartment. The beds were comfortable, you have control of the thermostat, the bathrooms were great.
The breakfast was excellent! We did 2 days at the breakfast buffet- one day had the steak, the other day didn’t so I’m not sure why, or if the steak was only a special thing for their New Years price (bc it was more expensive that day). But regardless, it was an excellent international breakfast in a beautiful ballroom both days and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
So yeah! Truly, no complaints about this hotel, they are top tier and we really enjoyed the stay. Thank you hotel Grasmere Monterey!

"For how much this hotel costs I was really blown away by how luxurious it felt! It was well worth tge price at a great value. There are hotel clothes and slippers available in the room that you can wear around to the lobby, spa, and breakfast. The room itself was spacious and I had a fantastic view! I also had a chance to try the public bath on the roof and it was so relaxing! The surrounding area is also worth exploring. I wish I had more time to spend here and will definitely book again on my future trips."
