I grew up and raised family there. It's changed some (more traffic, some different stores) but all in all a great visit. Check out the Kathryn Hepburn Cultural Arts Center (she had a home there). Small museum and various shows, concerts and movies.

It's a really great small Connecticut town. Nice range of places to eat, interesting shops, good wines stores, good supermarket. Easy to reach other small towns like Essex and Chester.

Quaint town by the seaside. They do roll up the sidewalks pretty early.
"Great location in New Haven and very walkable to a lot of great restaurants. There is a parking deck across the street for a fee with adjoining bridge on the second floor between the parking garage and the hotel. Friendly staff at the lobby and beautiful lobby. Space. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Very clean and quiet on the 5 th floor. "
