Amazing hotel with wonderful staff

This was our sixth stay at the Bussola as Orta is somewhere we visit regularly. For the first time in a few visits we ate here too. We had forgotten how good the food is and having dinner and on the terrace overlooking the lake is the perfect location to enjoy it. We stayed 3 nights to celebrate a special birthday. The staff, hotel and restaurant were first class and went out of their way to make our experience special. We took a taxi to Zermaat from a nearby town and the hotel sent a horse and carriage to collect us. went out to stresa for my birthday as had never been for a short break. easily reached by alibus or train to stresa itself. great location, so beautiful loads to see and do. boats so easily available to taxi you about to other resorts on lake but so glad to of stayed in stresa. with the lake and views as far as you can see and the alps in distance lit up by the sun when it was out there nothing to do buy chill out, explore and soak up the scenery with lots of food and drink. hotel is 5 mins...

Everything worked well from the ease of checking in to the upgraded room overlooking the lake to the excellent, responsive staff. The visit was a delight from start to finish. Of particular note were the arrangements for breakfast and the extreme helpfulness and resourcefulness of the members of the concierge team. Can't speak highly enough of them.

From start to finish. This hotel was a dream. Everything you see is what you get and a bit more. The staff were all so lovely and polite. They made an extra effort on my birthday which I did not even tell them about. Room service was great and always came back to a treat and tidy room. We booked this at the very last minute after having to deviate from our ski touring plan around Saas Fee. The staff were really nice and friendly, the rooms clean and functional with nice views and the breakfast was excellent and really good value.

Pictures do not do this place justice. The garden view is amazing with visibility of lake lugano and the distant mountains. Such a beautiful hotel. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. I loved the breakfast, it's simple but very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel

Lovely suite with stunning views. Jacuzzi on the balcony. Staff were super and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with huge choice of food in an elegant dining room. Easy walk into town and to the boat dock. Fantastic stay and will return!
