"This property is charming. The rooms are very comfortable. The bed is comfortable and housekeeping does an excellent job. My room was cleaned everyday. The breakfast that is included was delicious. Its difficult to find superlatives that match the enjoyment we had at the Albatroz. Its a stunning location and everything was right from the check-in to the check-out. The staff at the Hotel have a value set and desire to provide service that is matched only by 5 star establishments, and in my estimation this certainly is a 5 star Hotel. We plan to return, and frankly cant wait to do so. Go and enjoy!!

Nice resort hotel in the North West of Madeira, perfectly located for the natural pools. As an added bonus you get access to unlimited free day passes into the pools that require a paid ticket. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a friend call ahead (unknown to us) to tell them it was our honeymoon and they gave us a free bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. We were welcomed with something of a tea ceremony and this elegance extended to tbe simple but nicely-served breakfast, which was in the dining room filled with antiques and interesting prints. The bedroom furniture was grand too, carved wood, though beware if you are used to a big bed as they didn't make them like that then! There was a nice if oblique view towards the sea.The price for the night was very good value in my opinion.

The staff are courteous and friendly and helpful. If they were unable to help directly they could always advise where you might get the help you needed. We enjoyed our stay but did find a big disadvantage that as it was 3-4 miles inland from the express way on very difficult roads you didn't want to go into the town after dark. This hotel is a real gem. The view from the rooms and restaurant is amazing. We couldn't get enough of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and work tremendously hard.
