"The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries.
The breakfast was fantastic.
George, our host gave us helpful information and free tickets to Raby Castle. Wow, what a fabulous castle. The rooms were stunning and thd guides very knowledgeable.
We would definitely stay here again.

"Absolutely perfect, beautifully done. Extremely comfortable and it had everything we could need. A lot of thought has gone into making it so. Sue was very friendly and professional, Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely recommend and return."
"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business.
Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good, having placed our order the night before - worth noting that the website menu was out of date at the time when we went, having tried to plan ahead for what our kids would eat.
I would recommend staying at this venue, which is located in a nice and peaceful setting, with onsite parking. The room itself was clean, tidy and we all had a comfortable nights sleep."
