Pros: Great view of the city, towel warmer (nice touch), close to Time Square (4 min walk), Chromecast allows for you to mirror your phone and watch TV with your own apps.
The rest: I chose this property because it was the cheapest option that still had decent ratings. I almost didn't stay here for the simple fact that they charge a $35 per night additional fee for "amenities" that is not included in the Expedia price. However, all of the amenities are closed due to COVID (even the ice machines!). When I asked what amenities are specifically included in the $35 charge, I was told "wi-fi". That's ridiculous, seeing that all major hotels provide free Wi-Fi, but okay. The second issue was that even at the lowest temperature of the air conditioning, it was stifling hot in the room. I'm a naturally cold person, and even I was hot. If you are someone who needs to sleep in a cool room you will not be able to tolerate this. It was 50 degrees outside, it wasn't even summer temperatures. The shower fogs up the entire room, every window and mirror, because it has no enclosure which also means no privacy (I am aware that a lot of hotels are doing this now, apparently it's what's in style now). The room was also not very clean, but I've seen worse. It wasn't the worst hotel ever but I would ultimately not stay here again.
