I think we had the worst, tiniest room on the property and it was on the first floor. I asked if we could move and they said nothing was available. I went online & there were rooms available. The walls are so thin & the housekeepers seem to enjoy slamming the doors in the rooms they’re cleaning. We had an early event and tried unsuccessfully to take an afternoon nap due to the noise. The bathroom vent didn’t work, they only give you 2 towels, you have to ask for a blanket & the bathroom floor flooded by the toilet every time one of us took a shower. And the lobby is weirdly freezing all of the time. It was a very unpleasant stay.

The hôtel stafnwas great and friendly. My only issue was that we were staying at the hotel for 5 days and our sheets were not changed even once, which if I'm staying somewhere for 1-3 days its not something I care about but for 5 days I've Ould have loved to have them changed at least once as they were visibly dirty.

Nice stay. The property has a very long history. From the building exterior to the small but stylish elevator you can clearly see the historical influence. The room is clean, bed comfortable, around many great eats. The neighborhood is clean but bustling with energy. And it’s very close to Levain Bakery which serves fantastic cookies. The only down side I have is the room I got was pretty close to the elevator and not sound proof enough. I’m a late sleeper so not bothering for me. It would be good to check with the hotel about the room location first before booking if you’re sensitive to the sound. My stay came with $20 vouchers per night that you can use for breakfast or dinner. The French bakery closed to the entrance is descent. $20 is plenty for solo traveler but might need a few dollars more for two. Overall, recommend.

Otherwise great stay.
