We were so happy with our stay at The Spot in Nanaimo! Everything was clean, lovely room, supplies were restocked every day, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. A lovely experience—definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

Very cute boutique hotel. Our room was inside through the lobby. Nice bedding, towels, big glass shower with rain shower head as well as a wand hand held shower. Great pressure. It's a small room, but great for the one night we were there. Front counter evening staff was very helpful and super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

I’m a budget traveller so usually don’t expect much from budget accommodation. The Spot was well over my expectations. Clean and modern with comfy beds and poofy towels. I’d highly recommend!

Fynn the manager went above and beyond to help us get situated and upgrade our room for no extra cost. The property was nice - very modern and obviously recent. My only minor complaint is their style choice to focus on appearance over functionality, but some people like that so not a real issue. I would stay there again.

Room was newly renovated, door codes to unlock doors were nice. Shower was nice, and the matresses were surprisingly comfortable. The person who checked us in was so friendly and helpful, he went out of his way to make sure we had everyhing we needed and even gave some free cookies to our kids.

Staff were all on point and friendly. Room clean but small. Awkward credenza with uncomfortable stools is kind of pointless. Any kind of regular chair iwould have been more useful. We chose this property as it allowed dogs. Expedia advertised it as having a garden area. The neglected, trashy garden is only available to a handful of rooms on lower level. Not the motel’s fault but the immediate surrounding sidewalks were full of garbage. So not a good place to stay if you have dogs.

The staff is superb. They have bent over backwards for my needs while I have an extended stay here while my husband has been in hospital. It's extremely clean, simple and just what I need. I feel very safe here staying alone with their sign in codes to get into building and my room. I will definitely stay here again.
