"The property is in the very best location at Motohakone. Direct view of Mount Fuji the otherside of Lake Ashi. The checking in process was a lot better than some of teh reviews here. We got into the property easily and checked in with a tablet My only gripe is the inability store luggage at the property. the lockers at the bus station is close enough at 700Yen for a large locker"

"I booked 3 days to stay in this property. We decided on the first day that it is not for us and refunded the last day. Cons: To start, the walk to the property is the furthest walk on the entire street practically only up hill walking. It is quite annoying to get anywhere if you want to leave the property. "Very much an Air B’nB property with a long set of rules and no engagement with staff but perfectly placed to explore the Hakone area. Train station and bus stop within couple of minutes walk, as was Hakone Open Air Museum and 7/11. Even better, a brewery is next door! House itself is fantastic and modern. "

"The property exceeded my expectations. The only complaint I have is that some of the entries in their complementary guidebook led to some wasted time due to inaccuracies. I would definitely go to this accomodation again but I hope by then they have updated their book. Also there's the apparent fact that no public onsen seem to be in the area, so you should probably plan for going to hakone yamoto (hope I spelled that right) to get access to those. There actually is a small public one near this...

"I really liked Toyoko Inn Odawara. I am sorry I was unable to book other Toyota Inn stays in Japan. The room was comfortable, with a TV screen showing all necessary information. You could find toiletries and pyjamas in the ground floor lobby. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful (you sat at long tables along with other guests; it was a buffet style meal). My only issue was that I had been unable to sign up for membership from overseas."
