Fantastic setting, built into the cliff face. Probably the best views in the whole of The Algarve! Wonderful rooms with extraordinary views out over the sea. Amazing breakfasts, great food and drink during the day. Great staff who treat you like one of the family.

This hotel is a gem. We have been going there for years and shall be returning again. As soon as you step in this place, you enter a haven of tranquility and peacefulness. The grounds are stunning, the staff are great (from people at the reception to the buggie lads, to the breakfast team). We are made feel very welcome from beginning to the end. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast is sensational. I LOVE this place. This is the only place we holiday to since we...

The hotel was really lovely. Very spacious rooms. Staff were super helpful. Pools need heating at this time of year but after the initial shock they were ok once you were in and kept moving! Roof top bar was lovely. Really nice local Italian five mins walk away called Il Borgo. There was also a nice beach restaurant accesible out of the back of the hotel down a boardwalk but it closed at 6. Local beach also lovely. We had a lovely lunch there. Car not needed if you just want to stay at the...

We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be.
The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too.
The restaurant had a good menu for lunches. We didn't go in the evenings, so I don't know about the menu for that.

We had a fantastic time here with our 3 children. The staff and facilities were excellent and the location superb. Literally a 3-5min walk from our room to the most beautiful beach (and a great pizza place - a must!) If you have really young kids just be wary of the cliffs there because there's some sheer drops with not much warning!

We loved this resort. Set in lovely grounds with excellent facilities, we stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was immaculately clean and had everything you needed. The resort was very quiet and most mornings we had sole use of the gym. We opted for the breakfast buffet which provided an excellent spread of food with both hot and cold options. We would definitely go back again in the future

We stayed here in July 2014 as a family of four, kids aged 4 and 6. It is the best of both worlds - the convenience of an apartment with the facilities of a hotel.
We had a one bedroom suite which was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen including washer dryer and dishwasher, spacious living room with double sofa bed and separate king size bedroom. Two bathrooms (one en suite) and a terrace. The hotel is a nice size, not too big and very stylish and modern. It was spotless throughout and the...

After much searching for a hotel that fit the bill along the coastline and around Albufeira, we settled on the Baia Grande. I must say for the week we wanted, it was also the cheapest !
Having looked around the town after we had I checked in, all I can say is that I am glad we stayed here rather than noisy crowded rooms or apartments in close vicinity to pub after pub and the crowds. I can't understand the people who marked the place down because the entertainment was more suited to older...

I was a bit dubious about the Sau Rafael Suite Hotel after I had read all the reviews but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and even though we had not specified a pool or sea view - we had both.
The buffet was not huge, then again it is not a big hotel, but it was of good quality and there was sufficient variety. The a la carte restaurant was very nice, although the service could have been slightly better in there. The afternoon snacks were...

Property was a short 5 mins drive out of Ferragudo centre. Also walkable in around 25 minutes its about 2km to town .
If you just want the beach there is a lovely path through woods which takes about 5 mins to get there, but there are no facilities on the beach, if you want sun loungers its probably around 1km to walk along the beach until you come to these along with three restaurants.
The Property itself is traditional very clean and tidy, quite small which we liked! perhaps 40 bedrooms max....

This hotel is just wonderful. The staff are amazing and will do anything to help you with everything you need. I had a studio room with a kitchen, it is very well equipped and even the freezer works which is a huge plus in a hotel! The bed is the comfiest I've slept in a long time.
The area this hotel is in is beautiful, with a little shop just down the road with all the basics and more. The pool area and the general hotel are always clean and tidy. the pool looking out over the river is...

We booked a week for our honeymoon and Masana Algarve exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The apartment provided all the amenities needed, clean, spacious and very comfortable. High quality accessories and linen. Accessible and quiet, well looked after and walking distance of sandy beach. Staff very friendly and professional with a very positive polite attitude. Can’t recommend it enough. Definitely will go back. Magical.
