"The hotel sits a good few miles from Cambridge but the road links are pretty good. Hotel is clean and tidy and staff I spoke to were helpful. Room was an upgraded one so more expensive of course but the added space was useful. The breakfast was at best average. Hot food wasn’t very hot and was greasy, cold or overcooked. The staff appeared overwhelmed and as a result people were queuing constantly for everything from coffee to food items as well as simply to sit down. Gym is a good size and pool area is fine although it was closed due to a fault for part of one of the days. Overall I was left a bit disappointed but it was OK."

"Lovely friendly staff, bar ran out of a lot of drinks. Breakfast was pretty good, a selection of hot and cold. Handy having a harvester restaurant opposite that you could walk to. Good location with plenty of parking. The rooms were very quiet, we didn't get woken early in the morning by noise, which was lovely. Rooms were well equiped with iron, ironing board hair dryer and the bathroom had Dove shower gel and shampoo. The hotel is a little tired in parts, but generally its clean and comfortable and is good value for money, would definitely stay again."

"I had a great stay here. The hotel is clean. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, (but I'm being really picky here) they were comfortable and cosy. Perfect for our needs. The breakfast was tasty and plentyfull. You can help yourself as much as you want. Full English, pastrys, toast, fruit, cereal & yoghurt. A very pleasant stay and great value for money "

"Positives: Lovely staff at reception, clean room, comfortable beds. Fairly quiet but we were at the end of the hall. Negatives: Our room was too hot, even though it was quite cool outside. There was an A/C unit, but it was quite loud so we eventually turned it off. The lock on the bathroom door was presumably faulty and had been removed. Cheap toilet paper you would not expect at a 4* hotel. We paid half board but the restaurant staff had not been made aware of this and it was very unclear what was included. We booked as an adult and child and Hotels.com did not make clear on booking that the half board price was for one adult and 0 children. This should be made clear when presenting the available options as it seemed value for money but was not. We ended up sharing a two-course evening meal (which was very nice) and in the morning had a quick breakfast of awful coffee (this really needs to be improved) and a lovely croissant, as most of the other buffet food looked past its best."
