It’s inside the park which is really the only appeal. While others complained about food, our experience at the bar/pub was great service and food. The room has a low ceiling which looks like it’s about to fall down. Bed was reasonably comfortable. But the bathroom set up is ridiculous. We got in from hiking at 8:30, jumped in the shower/phone booth to discover no soap or shampoo (in the ridiculous contraption they have installed). Tried to call the front desk for about 5 minutes and only got a busy signal. Finally got dressed, drove back the reception area and no soap there. Had to go back to the room for someone to come and fill the dispensers. When my wife got in the shower the entire handle came off. As others have said - they need to remodel and reconfigure the rooms.

This property is in need of a major remodel. Very worn out and rundown. Water temps for a shower so erratic it was dangerous. Went from scalding hot to ice cold back and forth without stopping. Don’t know if this is typical of the entire facility but defiantly a problem in my building; neighbors complained of the same issue. Hope these folks get it together because Mesa Verde is an awesome destination. The lodge just needs to step up and get it together.

Great location within the park. We were on the ground floor of a 2 story building and got lots of noise (footfalls) from the folks on the upper floor. Food was average or a bit below. We were told beef could only be cooked medium well done which seems absurd.

View and location can’t be beat. Staff seem overworked and overwhelmed, and not helpful. Room was mostly ok, but toilet constantly running, staff unresponsive to the issue, also the balcony door would not close and kept banging all night long.

The property is gorgeous and the restaurant staff was lovely. Our rooms were very bare bones, which would have been fine except the lock on the back door was loose, the blinds were broken and so was one of the lamps. With a little TLC this place could be much better.

We loved our stay in Mesa Verde NPS, altho .... air conditioner was not turned on when we arrived and it was HOT, AC wasn't working, towel from previous guest was hanging inside wardrobe, ran out of toilet paper and facial tissue (no extra roll provided), landline did not work, so no extra tp was provided, some animal chewed through a container and chewed a few bits of the cookies (during the night) we were going to eat w our morning coffee (no thanks). Keep your expectations low and you will have a great time.

We booked two rooms. Took us over 2 hours to check in because one of the room has a broken bed and the other one has a mouse inside the room, while changing rooms, lock doesn’t open, took many tries, finally a lady staff open the door to let us inside the room. Changed to a much smaller room. Some lights are not working. Wifi was not working during our entire stay.
