Mesa Verde is a cultural and biological treasure! I had not been here since I was 8 years old, and it was just as magical, if not more so, than I remembered it.

If you are able definitely take advantage of the Ranger led tours of Cliff Palace or Balcony House.

Our guide Jordan on the Balcony house was awesome! We liked having an actual ancestor to the people who once lived there! He was knowledge and very kind!

I enjoyed my Verde a lot. My advice is to do the trails early in the morning or late in the evening during the middle of the day I would do the museum or the gift shops taken very hot in the middle of the day. I enjoy the park alot two days is enough

The park was well kept and a good experience. In early Oct it was very crowded, however that is not the fault of the park.

Mesa Verde is an amazing park worth the visit. Far View Inn not so much.
"My girlfriend and I stopped in here for the last night of a long road trip. We got in late and wanted to hit Mesa Verde in the morning so we were planning a quick in and out night.
Front the second we started chatting with the concierge we could tell that the people here genuinely took pride in their work and their motel.
Atmosphere is fun with lots of little secrets to find. Our room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently right next to our car. The shower was somewhat divisive (I love that a monsoon rained down on you though)
Other than that the only piece to mention is that this is certainly an older building. Beds were a king so those were fine but the bathroom was a little tight. I’m 6’3 and (admittedly) clumsy so I knocked into the bathroom quite a bit. Really no big deal but worth considering if anyone in your group is a larger.
Breakfast is a classic continental but somehow more memorable than your usual best western. Can’t get a corn dog at a Holliday inn express. "
"It was a beautiful property, with wild horses that were outside our patio when we woke up. The view was to die for. Our fan in our bathroom didn’t work, but other than that for the area I would hook it again. "
