"Very close to ValAir Ballroom where we attended a concert. Property is older and could use some updates. Swimming pool is small, no hot tub. Receptionist was very friendly. Breakfast was not very good."

Bed was comfy-ish for a hotel. Pillows were soft. Breakfast offered a decent variety. We had a pleasant stay."

"Loved our visit. We usually stay here when we go to Iowa, but our last visit was terrible. Unfriendly staff made sure we went somewhere else. I contacted corporate, and they said changes were being made at the property, so I thought we'd give it another shot. I'm glad we did. Friendly folks from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Carpets and amenities are being updated. A+++ and we will stay there again!"

"This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and we had another great visit. Hotel is perfectly located for events at Drake University. Room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. We interacted with 3 different front desk employees during our visit and they were all very friendly and helpful."
