"I usually get a day room at City Lodge Hotel on my way out of Joburg. I choose them because they typically have a good online rate for an overnight stay. The hotel is massive - you could easily walk 15 mins to your room if it is at the far end of the footprint. The staff is always lovely and my room and bathroom were very clean and updated this trip. They have also upgraded their hair dryers in the wing where I was. Since I was only there for a few hours, I was grateful they put me in a room that was close to reception. The room is basic and everything you need from a quick stay or day room. "

It felt good to come back after a long day at the hospital to a peaceful and warm environment. It is walking distance to a very nice mall with many restaurant options or the food at the hotel is also very good."
