I loved everything about this hotel. After speaking with Tamsyn for several months, she (and the rest of the staff!) made sure my visit was exactly how I wanted. The food was spectacular. Hats off to the chef. My massage was wonderful, as was the tour of the house. Highly recommend for a perfect experience. Thank you to everyone!

This hotel is a real gem. Michelle the manager is efficient, friendly and very helpful. Everything has been thought of, and the breakfasts are to die for. If you are looking for a 5 star experience but don't want a corporate faceless hotel this is the place for you.

The Saxon is one of the great hotels in the world. Elegant, discreet, very secure, it is a joy to be there. Outstanding architecture with spectacular interiors. I have returned to it over the past 12 years and look forward to our next stay.

Loved the old money, relaxed vibe

We paid Expedia the full amount for our Deluxe Surcharge room on booking and were informed that our reservation was booked, that there there was no need to re-confirm and that our room was guaranteed for late arrival. When we got to the hotel around 9 pm on Easter Monday, after a 9 hour car journey from Durban we were told that there were no rooms available for the first two nights; that we would be taken to a four star hotel elsewhere out of Rosebank for these two nights, and that we would...

Rivonia Premier Lodge is an oasis of green in a Johannesburg suburb. The rooms are well planned around green lawns. They are clean and spacious. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is superb. We can’t wait to visit again.

This hotel was selected for its location and on travellers reviews, so I was a little perturbed when the star rating was reduced from five to four after I had confirmed my reservation. This proved to be unfounded. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire stay. Attention to detail and service was always beyond reproach.
