"Our favorite place to stay when we visit Marion! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is always fresh and tastes great. My kids and I actually look forward to the breakfast when we stay. I know it’s hard to find good help nowadays but whatever Fairfield is doing is working. I’m so appreciative of them especially after a hotel across the street denied my stay because I hadn’t updated my drivers license after moving from the area. Fairfield has always accepted us, no questions asked and I’m so thankful!"

"The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet, and the temperature was perfect. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and delicious."

"The valet staff went above and beyond, and the front desk staff (for the most part) were friendly. The rooms, while relatively nice and clean, the outer facilities and those parts of the hotel seen thru my hotel room and from the elevator, were in need of a deep cleaning. It was clear this hotel is one in transition and I would hope that it will improve positively. A particular recommendation is for there to be more lighting out front; when returning to the hotel at night it was not very well-lit nor was there proper hotel signage. But what it lacked in bells and whistles, it made up for in hotel staff attentiveness. Overall, a nice stay. "

"From approx 2am to 5am on April 26, the fire alarms in the rooms on the 2nd floor kept going off. I asked the manager if there was a problem and he said there was a malfunction with the fire monitors on the 2nd floor every weekend. If they knew that - why has it not been fixed. It was a long long night. I feel like they should not have used those rooms until this has been fixed. I was there Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Thursday and Friday were great but Saturday night was not. If you stay - ask if this has been fixed. "

"The lobby should have fresh water available all day. Many people walk the city and it would be nice to have fresh water in the lobby. Carpet in room needs to be cleaned better. There was no cold water in the shower. The hot water was so hot I couldn’t use it comfortably."

"This property was wonderful to stay at. The breakfast was awesome - lots of option and fresh! The rooms we booked where great and very comfortable. The place was also quiet. We traveled with our dog for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect but the staff greeted us kindly and loved seeing our pup. Would stay here again for sure!"

"Air conditioning worked fine however this place is old and needs some repair work. The room was not very clean and there was mold throughout the bathroom."
