"The staff at the hotel is friendly and welcoming. Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious with a view of the mountains. Food is good though breakfast is severely limited. I find the hotel is over priced considering their are plenty more hotels in Manali which offer better services and rooms. If you book in advance you will be able to find more price worthy options. "

"This hotel had such promise, nice communal areas, large rooms and in a good location close to the town center. However, not only was the food very expensive and not of a high quality, this hotel was so cold and had such poor heating. In the middle of winter at times -2dc through the day, neither of the two communal fires were lite and there was no other heating in the entire hotel. "The staff was the highlight. The breakfast crew remember every morning that I wanted black coffee, so they ordered as soon as they saw me. They call your room to ask if you want breakfast or dinner room service. I thought it felt like upselling and was annoying. But things were good nonetheless"

"The resort is designed in a very nice way. You feel very close to the nature. The environment is very calm and soothing and you can hear the birds chirping around. The only thing that one needs to know before booking this is that it is far from city center. Great if you have your own vehicle or else you will have to hire taxi to roam around"

"Had booked The Himalayan on a friends advise and I must say it was an amazing, out of the world stay for 4 nights . Just as in the pictures it gives a real feel of staying in a castle . The rooms were quite big and beds most comfortable. Of course the view from the windows of the snow capped mountains and Manali town below was just too good to be true. The property with beautiful gardens, a pool & cottages around it made us feel so relaxed and we felt bad when our stay was about to end. The persons at the reception were most polite and helpful to all our queries about how and where to visit around Manali. Every evening they had a map for us with all places marked out for our visits the next day. Of course I must mention the breakfast spread and few meals we had for dinner, just amazing. We will definitely come back & stay here again for our next visit. Thank you The Himalayan for making our holidays special."
