I have been traveling for over 40 years and have stayed at thousands of hotels and I would rank this property as 1 of a kind and not to be missed if you are in Udipur - - - it is best by far the best in the area. The rooms with a lake/city view are well worth the extra cost and are an experience that you will always remember. DON'T MISS A LIFE EXPERIENCE ON THIS PROPERTY. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel Recently refurbished to a high standard. Staff attentive and very helpful. Particularly enjoyed the musicians in the evenings and also at breakfast. Ate in the restaurant on several occasions and food was very good. The manager Mr Deepak Devpura made a point of asking each day, how my stay was going. He and his team made my stay so enjoyable. This is a hidden gem in a quaint location in the Old town of Udaipur. The manager Jassu was extremely friendly and helpful, arranging airport transfers, suggesting places to visit and eat, etc. The location is excellent, being close to the City Palace, Jagdish temple and Pichola lake. The views from the rooms are fantastic, especially if you book the Maharaja suite with its own large terrace. The amenities are modern, clean and well maintained, and we would happily return here.
