Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location, the staff, and the room. We were walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The room was small, pretty, and clean and very comfortable. I can’t think of a reason I’d ever stay anywhere other than this hotel when I’m in Madrid.

Excellent stay in beautiful hotel room

A lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here. The room we were in was beautiful and much larger than we expected. Everything was clean and the bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. We were checked in with a warm welcome and the reception staff always greeted us as we came and went. The hotel is very well located, very central but on a quiet street so nights were peaceful. We would stay again if back in Madrid.

Great location. The apartment was large with old furniture. Comfortable in a vintage type of way. The best location in Madrid!! Across from the palace and close to shopping and dining! Alesandra at the front was amazing and extremely helpful!

I spent two nights here with my sister. The value of the property and what you get is hard to beat. The room was HUGE, very clean & comfortable. The building is historic and directly across from the Palace and many parks. Everything I wanted to do was walking distance. The staff was so friendly & helpful. Many cute cafes to dine at nearby as well. I would recommend it highly & stay here in the future.

The place is just recently renovated. With all the new features specially in the bathroom. The location is 5 minutes away to the Royal Palace of Madrid and less than 10 minutes walk from Mercado and Plaza de Mayor. Unlimited options on dining and shopping around the hotel. Free WiFi and and small fridge. Unfortunately they don’t have laundry service but just 5 minutes walk there’s a laundromat close to the hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful.

Amazing stay

We had a little confusion with parking and then finding the entrance to the hotel, but once that was sorted, we were checked in and settled in our room in no time. The building has so much character, and it was wonderful to walk out the front door and be right at the Oriente Plaza, and only a few minutes from restaurants, bars and all kinds of activities. Big shout out to Alexandra at the front desk. She was amazingly helpful any time we needed her. She even booked a table for us for a dinner and flamenco show one night. If you are planning a trip to Madrid, you won't wrong staying at this hotel.

Large apartment and excellent location. The apartment didn’t have a dishwasher but did have a clothes washer. Didn’t like that it had no windows to the street and no fire escape. We were on the fourth floor so that was concerning. Also the bed was moldy.

Decepción por la caída en la calidad

Mi experiencia con este hotel fue decepcionante. La primera vez que me hospedé, estaba mejor cuidado y era más interesante, aunque la atención siempre dejó mucho que desear. En aquella ocasión, justificaron la falta de servicio de equipaje diciendo que el hotel era familiar y durante la Navidad cerraban todo, sin ofrecer un lugar para guardar las pertenencias; los huéspedes simplemente tenían que salir. No sé si esa política cambió, pero la recepción sigue siendo extremadamente fría. Además, el suelo hace un ruido insoportable al caminar. Si no estás en el último piso, probablemente te molestará mucho el sonido fuerte y constante de las personas caminando. No es culpa de los otros huéspedes: las tablas realmente crujen demasiado. En la habitación, la ducha tenía un ligero olor a alcantarilla, y el desagüe estaba obstruido. El colchón es excelente, pero las almohadas son terribles. Las toallas son mediocres, nada destacable. Otro problema fue la llave que proporcionan para entrar al hotel por la noche, cuando no hay recepción. Simplemente no abría la puerta, y solo logramos entrar porque llegaron otros clientes con una llave que sí funcionaba. Al día siguiente, la recepción informó que hay un “truco” para abrirla, pero no explicaron cuál. Por otro lado, el hotel ofrece un servicio de taxi al aeropuerto por 33€, lo cual es práctico y más barato que Uber. La ubicación también es excelente. Sin embargo, dada la caída en la calidad, no tengo intención de hospedarme nuevamente

Si vous aimez les puces et l'urine...

Hotel déplorable ! Fuyez! Derrière les apparences chics se cache une belle arnaque! L'annonce parlait d'un parking, mais il n'y en a pas! Chambre sans insonorisation, on entend les pas, les rires, et bien d'autres choses encore. Notre entrée n'est pas celle des artistes mais plutôt celle de service! La grande porte sur la place est sans doute réservée aux notables... Quant a nous, nous avons eu droit à la porte dérobée sur la rue adjacente avec 3 clés, un sacré tour de main pour l'ouvrir, et beaucoup de patience! Une fois passée cette première épreuve, pas de réception, pas de cafétéria dans notre partie de l'hôtel. Une chambre jolie en apparence , qui cache un personnel malhonnête, et des équipements vetustes... Le paumeau de douche plein de calcaire éclabousse tout, le portant ne tient pas, les wc sentent, la douche vous offre la possibilité de savoir de quelle couleur sont les cheveux des clients précédents (si ce sont bien des cheveux), et sans doute ceux encore avant! Tout comme le lit d'ailleurs! Il est petit et dur comme du béton, et vous trouverez un peu de compagnie dedans, plutôt cool si vous aimez les puces! Le plafond fui et ponctue vos nuits de "plocs plocs", mais rassurez-vous, si vous comptiez faire une reclamation au personnel apres tout ca, parce que c'est litteralement la goutte de trop, il fera mine de vouloir vous aider, avant de vous répondre : "there's nothing i can do for you!" Voila voila! Bon sejour a Madrid, fuyez cet hotel!

This hotel was not open but would not refund our money. I am disgustedly with them and hotels.com for not chasing up my money. I will think long and hard about ever using either company.
