The resort is nice but a little tired. We travelled with kids and the kid’s areas left a lot to be desired. The food was good but lacking variety. Our 3 bedroom Casona was nice but a bit tired. Our butler and the pool servers were top notch though! We’ve stayed at Grand Velas a few times in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and prefer the food, service, entertainment and kids club and pool experience there. For the cost of Esperanza, I would pick Grand Velas over it (even paying more overall) or we’d probably try another high end resort.

The property is great and all amenities are easily accessible. Room was fantastic and Mario our host was always helpful each day. Luis at the pool was very attentive and our maids were excellent. My only complaint would be the shower…better pressure and heads needed!
