The property was clean and conveniently located near universal studios. It is really close to the 101 so you hear cars all night and people walking in the hotel. Walls must be thin???

The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are nice, the reason I am giving a lower rating is because when we checked in our room the first thing I noticed was greasy hand marks on the mirror on the wall that looked red and chunky..? It was gross. The beds in our room both sink in in the middle when you laid on them. They were not the typical pillow top kind, instead maybe the spring ones. Then we found a piece of old half eaten pizza by the sheet curtain from the guests who stayed there before us, which explains the greasy red chunky hand marks on the mirror. It was pizza sauce. So the next morning we went to breakfast with still over an hour left to eat and all the food was gone except for a couple nutrition bars and 4 mini muffins. The issue I have is that the front desk attendant was on his phone and not refilling anything when he clearly could see people coming in looking to eat and leaving. He didn’t want to get up and refill anything. The items to restock are in fridges below the counter that has signs to ask for assistance so I got my own items so I could feed my kids. One of the deciding factors of me staying here was it included breakfast. Now this next issue could be an oversight by me idk, but they charge you $25 a night to park. We also didn’t get housekeeping. Not sure if that’s due to Covid though. They only refilled the tissue and took the bath mat, but never gave a new one. But hey they also left pizza behind before so…we won’t be back.

The front desk staff were distracted and busy and the greeting was null. Our room was large and very clean. The pool was indoor, small and not inviting. High price to pay for a crappy pool

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to anything that we needed. We had the family suite and it was very comfortable, clean, and the hotel was quiet. The surrounding neighborhood has seen better days, but the hotel is secluded and the parking lot is safe. Close to Universal, but a solid walk if you want to go on foot. We did not attempt it because of the above listed neighborhood issues. We’d stay here again :)
