It’s smack dab in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard, near every touristy areas us locals want to avoid. But as soon as you get in the Hollywood Roosevelt Property, it feels like you are transported to another place, another era, where you forget the Hollyweird just steps outside but what you feel is the ritz and glamour from the bygone days. The kind gentlemen in front desk upgraded us to the Cabana room instead of the tower. I was hesitant as I was reading from other reviews that it can get loud near the pool but he assured me that it will be quiet since there’s not much people there at this time of the year. The room was nice and spacious, with a separate bedroom. We watched the Candlelight: Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole inspired concert in the Blossom Ballroom and it was really fitting for such an iconic place. This was where the first Oscar’s Film Festival was held. The lobby and its ceiling is beautiful. The only thing that left a slightly bad experience was when we were approached by a lady in the lobby telling us that no professional cameras are allowed to take pictures of the lobby and that there’s security. Umm, in the first place, we are paying guests, our camera is not a professional camera but a proper camera used for hobby to take good pictures instead of a phone cameras with subpar pictures. In the past, people used to bring in a separate camera before cellphones came along. It was a good stay & dog friendly too!
