"This hotel charges 10$ a small bottle of water. I was told it’s a middle eastern owned hotel and that’s the price for water. I’ll never stay here again. Very unAmerican to charge guest 10$ for a small bottle of water. Room are ok. Floor was coming unglued and it’s supposed to be new."

Guests who choose historic hotels have the chance to stay in a building that has been officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can be castles, palaces, grand homes or even old police stations, pubs, lodges or skyscrapers — any building that's been identified as being of special interest. These types of hotels in Los Alamos often retain authentic elements like traditional architecture and period features within the guestrooms or public spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
They are quite similar. The term "historic hotel" is more common in the U.S., while "heritage hotel" is often used in Asia and Europe. Heritage hotels draw their meaning mainly from the cultural value that the place has and how it shaped the community.
Do historic hotels in Los Alamos have modern facilities?
Yes, efforts are made to preserve the historic aspects and traditions, but hotel interiors are fitted with modern conveniences and safety features. Tourists who book a stay can expect the amenities you'd get from a hotel such as Smart TVs, WiFi and updated bathroom facilities.
