"Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly, rooms a bit dated and bed uncomfortable. Went for a wedding at clearwell castle but struggled to get a taxi back to the golf club."

"I've stayed here many times before for work. The prices have increased, and you now have to pay for parking on arrival. Sadly, the rooms remain tired and the beds aren't terribly comfortable. The staff are nice, but it's the little things that make you feel valued, and with the creeping prices, this hotel is increasingly looking less and less favourable when compared to other properties."

"This place isn’t 5 star but it’s affordable it’s in a great location iv stayed here a few times the staff are friendly rooms basic but nice clean and fresh shower is hot and powerful I would choose this hotel over any travel lodge premiere inn and I will definitely be back soon"

"A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away."

"Hidden gem. Excellent value accommodation with large bedroom and bathroom featuring quality fittings aligning with the period house. We had a delightful hot breakfast with a great selection of freshly prepared ingredients. Pleasant garden surroundings great to walk around and explore. Ample on-site parking too. Staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately due to our UK travel plans we could only stay for 1 night. Located close to a nice country pub within walking distance having great family facilities too."
