We stumbled across this little gem while looking for a dog friendly hotel to stay for a family getaway. The owners were so friendly and made you feel very welcome. We stayed on the weekend so they had a fabulous breakfast in the gazebo. Everything was served with a smile. Beds were very comfy and you had everything you needed. Coffee maker and fridge make the room even better. Very clean as well. The gazebo is great for some drinks and relaxing in front of the gas fireplace. Or they have the...

We loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room was amazing. Easy parking. Just around the corner from the main street of shops and restaurants and also the beautiful lake. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer.

Had a fantastic stay here for 5 nights. The hotel is lovely, and an added bonus I didn’t know before I booked it was they had free paddle boards and kayaks for hire on Lake Placid.
A few of the gas fire pits were out of gas which was a shame.
The location was great, close to the shops on mirror lake and plenty of things to do like Whiteface mountain.

Had a deluxe room which had a patio which looked over the lake & private beach.
They have free hire of pedalos & other things which I didn't realise until the day I was leaving.
Free parking too
Staff were all very friendly & room spotless.

Very nice, updated hotel. No coffee in room, but available in the lobby area. They did have Kurig, as the coffee was not hot in the coffee dispenser. Staff was friendly and great! Rooms are smaller, but cozy, clean and updated bath area. Robes provided which I always find nice when I travel.

I had an excellent stay at The Hungry Trout in Killington this winter. The location is very convenient due to its proximity to Whiteface and Lake Placid and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. The rooms are rustic, comfortable and clean with great mountain views. The restaurant and pub have a great atmosphere and the selection and quality of food is very good. The hotel staff (including the owner) are very friendly and helpful and go above and beyond. Looking forward to return sometime in...
