Great place to stay, but be aware that dogs are not allowed in most areas. We chose this place as "pet-friendly" but our small dog was not even allowed in the outdoor patio areas. We would have liked to sit on the patio and enjoy the view / fire, but were not allowed to do so with our dog. Will look for a more "pet-friendly" environment for our next stay.

Gorgeous views of the Adirondack mountains from this hilltop hotel. It’s an easy stroll to the village for shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the private beach with free kayaks. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfast buffet is excellent and reasonably priced.

We stayed for one night. Close to the lake and shopping. Little confusing why there was very few chairs on the grassy slope next to the building for people to sit and view the lake and town. Quite a few were looking for chairs and ended up just sitting on the grass. Staff was very nice and food was ok. We had a room with a view of the lake. Would stay here again.

The view from the 4th floor lake front room was outstanding. We enjoyed the ability to open the sliding door to the small balcony space. Overall, we thought our stay at the Crown Plaza did not meet our expectations. The first impression was at check-in when observing and listening to disgruntled employees behind the desk. The next morning at breakfast, we observed and heard disgruntled service employees again as well. The room seemed tired and outdated. The couch in the room was deformed and stained. Lighting was poor. Bed comfort was just okay. Daily housekeeping was minimal. Obvious vacuuming was needed The shower door seal was hanging off which caused unnecessary floor flooding. While we did have an unpleasant check-in, we did have exchanges with some very nice staff members. In addition, we definitely recognized the property's uniqueness...location and history. A serious refresh of the interior would be a huge improvement.
