This hotel is typical of motels which dotted the US prior to chain hotels. It was clean and comfortable. The price was right. Two issues, they leave the windows open after they clean the room. It was a little chilly when we arrived. And there was no hot water. When I left, the woman in the office did not apologize for that but only said, "Oh yes, we are changing the hot-water heater." It was not bad or anything but sure would have been nice to know!

This is one of the cleanest motels I've ever stayed at. It is definitely very old, but also VERY well kept. The owners/hosts are incredibly polite and attentive, parking is easy, and the location is great. The motel, despite being old, is kept in tip-top shape. The TVs are modern, the beds are clean and comfortable, the carpet is clean, towels/soaps is plentiful, the bathroom is kept up. The only downside I can say is that the bathroom has no ventilation, so the shower steam pours out into the room. You can definitely tell how old the place is when you realize there is no ventilation. I realize that would be a pricy upgrade for all the rooms, but would be a worthwhile investment, I think. It was rather pricy, but it was also a holiday weekend, and to be fair, ALL of the places in Lake George were pricy. This was one of the better deals to be had. If you are looking for a comfortable, convenient place in Lake George for a short stay, you can't go wrong here.
