"A good location with lots of restaurants and activities to do close by. The hotel is a little dated but the staff were always very helpful."

"The hotel is as described, older in its renovation style, but totally functional. Very close to Darling Harbour, it will be a good 30 min walk to Circular Quay, but you are close to transport and shops. Check in was great, staff very courteous and they gave me an upgrade (without asking!). Great for families if you can get a multi room stay, and a good central CBD location."

"Staff care, customer service and attentiveness with checkin/reception staff was poor. Our room initially had no working tv and we were told could we wait until the morninf for a fix (on a 1 night stay).It wasn't until we raised concern that we believe the lovely Night Manager himself came to address the issue. We had to remind the reception staff of our "Gold VIP" loyalty bonus associated with our booking ($50 food & beveridge credit) other wise we would have forfeited it, there was no information provided about the validation of our parking (even though we booked a package that included breakfast & parking. This is the second time the last 2 issues have occurred. We were also very disappointed that we were told that the bar/cafe would be open until 10pm yet, at 9.35/9.40pm the coffee machine had been switched off, we could not order a cocktail off the menu and were told we could only have a drink "off shelf", bottled beer or soft drink. Breakfast was lovely and serving hours were good, we ordered poached eggs and fried eggs and despite the sitting being very sparsly occupied, it took them 20 mins to deliver and when I followed up I was met with a sturn reply. This just left a bitter taste on what was otherwise a pleasant stay. Customer service definitely needs work with some staff- reception and some service staff. Not a reflection of all. Polish Lady was lovely and Night Manager was very helpful."
