Watch traveling Broadway productions and other shows in a beautiful downtown theater that's been packing in the crowds for more than a century.
Sit back, relax and enjoy a night at the theater at Keller Auditorium, a spacious performing arts venue that covers an entire city block and was inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture. Take your pick of events from a schedule that may include ballets, operas, pop and rock concerts, Broadway musicals and family events.
Note the history of the auditorium. The venue has offered entertainment since 1917, has a seating capacity of almost 3,000.
Reserve seats for your chosen performance through the official websites of either the artists or Keller Auditorium. You can also purchase tickets in person from the theater’s box office, which is open Monday to Saturday. Seating options include box seats and first and second balconies.
Among the productions that have been staged here are Les Misérables, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. The Portland Opera performs here; this company has been going since 1964 and presents a fresh season of shows every year.
Before taking your seat for a performance, relax in the Keller Café and Martini Bar on the first level of Keller Auditorium overlooking Keller Fountain. The principal highlight of Keller Fountain Park, the delightful fountain has water flowing over its numerous platforms and terraces. The restaurant opens 90 minutes before performances are due to start and features an ever-changing menu.
There are other dining options within a few footsteps of the venue, including a steakhouse and a Chinese restaurant. For more details, consult the theater’s website.
Keller Auditorium is located in downtown Portland and is easily reached by any Tri-Met bus traveling to the city center. If you are driving, park for a fee in the nearby parking garages or use street parking, which is metered until the early evening.
