"We couldn’t remember what type of room we booked but were delighted when we reached it. The bed was enormous and we also had a sofa and a couple of tables/chairs. The room also had a safe, WiFi and a fridge along with tea/coffee facilities. The towels in the bathroom were fabulously large which was great. The toiletries provided were also nice too. We had breakfast every morning which had a large array of delicious things to choose from. We were in our element! We spent long days in the city and ordered room service each day when we returned - it was extremely good and the portions of the meals we chose were very large - so much so that we couldn’t finish them. In fact on the last evening we shared a meal which was more than enough for us ! The bus into the city runs from right outside the door of the hotel and operates a regular service every day. A travel card of 10 journeys only works out to be about 8 euros and even if there are two of you , you can share one travel card which is brilliant! There isn’t anything about this hotel that I can fault and would not hesitate to recommend it. "

"Hotel is pretty nice, easy to get around. The room we had was a smaller size and I had requested a queen or at least one bed for two adults but got to singles stuck together with separate bedding. The food in the restaurant is mediocre at best, really needs improvement. Good location and shuttle service!"

"Excellent hotel - top quality. We would return but two things were unusual for a hotel of this category: 1. the air was turned off in the room and we coul not open the window because of the wind and alergies. So, the room was overly warm and there was no way to remedy it. We tried the thermostat but the system was obviously turned off which is fairly normal in this season because the hotels try to save on energy. BUT it was uncomfortable and will cause us to consider an alternative hotel in the future. 2. We had a late event and so wanted to get something light to eat at about 6 pm (= time for "merienda" in Spain). The bar had drinks and a couple of stale sandwiches - two of which involved shell fish although not in a refrigerated display case. The lady was helpful and told us we could walk down the street about 6-10 minutes, which we did. It was not a pleasant experience because our time was extemely tight. Again, in a lesser hotel I wouldn't think twice. But one of this category with a bar present . . . not a wise management decision from a client's perspective."

"Depends on what your looking for but on checking in I did think that if I’d wanted the full prison cell experience it would have been cheaper to have just punched a police officer! Photo of room on website really misleading, tiny cramped bare room with a rock hard bed, visit Madrid for the full Alcatraz experience 👍"

"An excellent hotel in a quiet, safe area of Madrid. The staff were courteous, helpful and very accommodating. The room is clean, modern, and very spacious but the bathroom is a little bit dated."
