The town is very pedestrian friendly and lively. A cadre of excellent dining options made for an excellent visit. There are also plenty of shops but be prepared to spend a lot. Valley Bookstore & Snake River Grill were highlights during our visit.

Jackson was charming and festive (mid Dec). I loved the proximity to nature - Elk Reserve, Gros Ventre area, Teton National Park. The roads were in great condition even during a winter storm, the people were friendly and the food was wonderful.

I was very impressed with the town of Jackson. Excellent hotels and restaurants in the area and great access to both Snow King and Teton Village ski resorts. We visited the National Elk refuge in Winter and the National Wildlife Art museum.

Jackson is a great home base to enjoy Jackson Hole, the Tetons, and Yellowstone. Took a ECO tour for a full day of yellowstone. Mark was our tour guide who was excellent. His knowledge of yellowstone made the tour well worth the money!!!

Cute western town. Lots of restaurants and art galleries. There are 2, or 3, outdoor stores and other shopping to be had. The town puts on a fun show in the streets at 6:00pm every night. But, be prepared to spend a lot of money on food.

Aside from the fact that it's crazy expensive, there's lot of dining options and you can get to the park easily. It's a drivable town aside from the square area but we will definitely be back.
"When we checked in, we were assigned to the 3rd floor. With a bit of begging the desk clerk gave us a 1st floor room right by the breakfast area. Awesome!
The cookies and iced tea were great, and we sat outside for an hour or so. Weather was great.
