"The room had just been cleaned when we checked in. The chemicals were very strong smelling and my husband had a difficult time breathing due to the smells. The bathroom fan is obnoxiously loud and it turns on automatically with the bathroom light. There were not any screens on the windows. We had the windows open all night to let the smells out and all sorts of bugs got in. The view was beautiful. "

"The owner was super great to work with, ultra responsive and very friendly. The place itself was great, really nice apartment and well stocked with all the things you need to hang out in Anchorage for a day or two, including tea and coffee which were great to have on hand! "Gracious and helpful staff. Easy check in and check out. Very clean and well-kept room. Affordable for normal people. Reminded me of a place in the old country (Latvia), where families still run businesses (as opposed to faceless corporations). This is a business you should support as a matter of principle. Yes. It's small and not a typical hotel. But these are good people running a good business that actually cares about the customer in the way family-owned businesses used to. Personally, I love the idiosyncrasies. Thanks for a great stay, Qupqugiaq Inn people!"
