"Best service ever"

"The Cyashitsu Ryokan Asakusa is a truly wonderful hotel. I stayed here for one night after running the Tokyo Marathon. This was my last night in Japan and the hosts made this the most memorable night of my visit. The Ryokan is incredibly comfortable and beautiful and close to the Senso-Ji temple. The hosts arranged a wonderful meal in a gorgeous restaurant for me. I have to say that this was the best food I'd had on my trip and that is really saying something! "Please note that this from the perspective of a westerner (Canada) — This was a very traditional Japanese resort. The baths and hot tub were great. Breakfast was a set menu and traditional Japanese fare — while it was an interesting experience, it was also very non-traditional for us. Best to have a vehicle when visiting here as town and restaurants are a 2 km walk or a $12-18 taxi ride.
