"Amazing experience to stay in a castle. We stayed in the Radcliffe Suite, so spacious and grand. The bathroom was huge! With a sauna! The bed was super comfy. My husband and I had dinner from the fine dining menu and our son was able to order from the relaxed dining menu which was great. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was equally wonderful, and my husband was very happy to see kippers as a menu choice.
All in all we couldn’t fault a thing and really enjoyed our stay. The only bad thing was we only were able to stay one night."
"Pub was dated, and our room had a shower/toilet in a pod, so read the small print when booking. The pod was extremely small with little room to manoeuvre and the extractor fan did not work. Also music could be heard in our room from downstairs. The positive is the shower was warm, the staff extremely friendly and the breakfast good. Also the local clientele were warm, friendly and welcoming"
"The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great spot if you want to take a dip in the river - you can do that directly from the hotel garden/outdoor seating area.
Our room was clean and in a quiet part of the building. There is no air conditioning but a fan was provided, which helped.
Would be happy to stay again."
"This is our second time staying here, it is one of our favorite hotels. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and the guest rooms are beautifully decorated. The desk staff drove us to the train station because we could not get a taxi. Great location within Hexham, next to everything."
"Picked this hotel as an overnight stop and was delighted with an impeccably clean, well-appointed room. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, breakfast options to suit all appetites setting guests up for the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a base from which to explore the area"
