"Upon arrival we were greeted and offered to dine while we wait to check in. Check in was simple through an app and we were offered welcome cocktails. We did during our stay have some questions regarding the all inclusive menu as there were some restrictions we hadn't anticipated however the staff was very quick to respond and offer solutions so we could enjoy beverages we desired. "Great hotel. It is a bit dated. The room & linens were dated/worn. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is indeed one of the BEST I've had. Location is 8min walk to the Ferry port and 10 min. walk to the tourist pedestrian street. Our room faced the back and I was quite worried as it looked down onto a street which had a disco/nightclub and a strip club but there were no issues and we couldn't hear a thing. Roof top restaurant has great views. Food was decent but a bit pricey. Pool deck is nice...

"Wonderful breakfast, lovely room. A bit of mix up regarding city tax that was collected upon checking in and again at check out. No one informed us the tax was per night. I would have thought all taxes would have been collected at check in."

Parking is available (EUR 14/night): you pause outside in the busy street, double-parking is normal, to unload luggage and the hotel staff will then take your keys and whisk the car away to somewhere else -- give 20 minutes notice whenever you want it back. "Hotel Sofia is a very nice, well appointed hotel near the airport. Some late afternoon aircraft noise, but no problem overnight. On a side street so quiet, but only 100yds to public transport to city. Also a range of shops and eateries in same area. Pool area good. Breakfast had a good selection. Would recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"The property was in a convenient location for the ferry port, which we used for transportation from Crete to Athens. The hotel staff were excellent and always helpful. The only drawback is that it is hard for any tour transportation to pick us up at the hotel. "
