I was in Beijing for a 24-hour layover on the way home from mountain-biking/camping in Mongolia. I figured I would treat myself to some real comfort after the physical exertion. I picked the right place. The bed in my room was totally comfortable. I soaked in the tub while enjoying CNN on TV. (I had been out-of-touch in Mongolia.) First time staying in a Conrad - and it was very luxurious indeed (tv in the bathroom, walk in wardrobe etc.). On first glance it seems like there isn't much else around the hotel, but across the road there is a large-ish park and about 5-10 mins walk away is Sanlitun Village which has some excellent restaurants (e.g. 1949, Restaurant Rouge) and bars. Overall, very pleased with the hotel rooms and location. Only point for improvement - extend the free wifi to rooms (not just in the lobby).

as a 4 people family with small child, I can say it was very good hotel with size of the room and accessible to underground and food centre in shopping malls. the shower was very good, hotel breakfast was incredible reception staff was amazing and helpful, they helped people to book a taxi and translate everything from chines to English. there is a good size swimming pool and was clean room service was very reliable and fast. totally I would recommended this hotel for long or short stay...

After much searching we finally elected to stay at the Regent, this was an outstanding choice !!! we arranged for the hotel to pick us up from the airport ( cost around £60 each way) each way ,great choice we were met by a lovely girl from the hotel and a driver and transferred in a large Audi ( hotel has Rolls Royce's if that's your choice) on arrival at the hotel we were offered an upgrade to a suite ( cost around £75 per night) we took this upgrade, the suite (1640) overlooked the forbidden...
