"Downtown Bangor is a bit seedy so it was nice to be in Orono. Nice property, clean, large room, helpful staff and good breakfast. A nice touch was the complimentary coffee, ice cream and "soup of the day" in the lobby. Great, moderately priced base to explore the central coast from."

"Jane, the owner was friendly and helpful. While the property is older, it was clean and the soap was amazing (small things :-) The kitchenette was a bonus and they didn't have an ice machine when I was there but they had bags of ice & they were willing to let me fill my small cooler :-) Bar Harbor priced us out, so we drove the distance for affordability but I would stay again to support small business and the economy outside of Bar Harbor/Acadia. Also, only about an hour from The Lost Kitchen in Freedom, Maine where we drove the next day as opposed to back to Bar Harbor."
