"This apartment was so beautiful and located next to a charming Main Street with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and cute shops.
It was perfect for the 3 of us at the end of our trip. It’s pretty close to Acadia National Park without all the regular drama of the crowd in Bar Harbor."

While Stone Haven may not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Bubble Rock and Acadia National Park.
Explore the lovely green spaces of Acadia National Park's Visitors Center and also enjoy the hiking trails in Bar Harbor. Wander the area's waterfront or simply enjoy one of its lively bars.
Whale watching experience was terrific - we saw multiple hump backs, dolphins, porpoises, seals etc.. However, beware adequate parking space in Bar Harbor is almost impossibly nonexistent. Be prepared to walk long distances to the West Street docks.

Centrally located to shopping, food and more. Be sure to venture out to the national park. There's hiking, kayak rental or just pack a lunch and sit by one of the amazing water side parks. In the summer there's the farmers market.

One of my favorite places on earth! Lots of tourists, but has done its best to retain its small town charm. Eat, shop and sleep local! Acadia is beautiful and the area is super eco conscious. Ride the free propane power bus!!

Loved, loved, loved Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The shopping, the (sea)food, the majestic views from all heights. Came for the foliage and hiking. Will come back for the whales and puffins, and more hiking.

We ventured out for the 3-hour puffin boat tour and actually sighted puffins! We highly recommend the tour. As for Baa Haa Baa, be ready to spend $$$$. Lunch and dinner run about $40 per person.
