"Wendy was very helpful when I was checking in, and particularly when I managed to lock myself out - it was nearly 10 pm when I returned from a work event and she brought herself out of a warm home into the cold wind to let me in. The room I was in wasn't very well sound-insulated, which may simply reflect the age of the property. The people next door to me - for each of the four nights I was there - were late arriving to their room, and often woke me up by talking quite loudly. This isn't the fault of the venue, but rather, a failure of the other guests to show some consideration. The bed was fairly comfy. The property is conveniently located for shops. It's a shame there is no restaurant any more, but that's one of the outcomes I've seen in a number of properties after forced shutdowns over COVID. Overall, it was a good stay, and I really appreciated the size of the room, the privacy, and Wendy's kind and helpful hospitality."
