"The staff were really helpful, we'd not realised there was a private car park at the back of the hotel. I'd booked the room with the 500 year old 4 poster bed as a birthday treat, and the room was lovely. Staff were friendly and polite from reception, meal, checkout. "A lovely hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food in the bar was excellent with good service. Easy walking distance to a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely relaxing spa facilities after a day out walking. Good central location for walkers. Accomodation was comfortable and clean. Would give it a higher rating than 3 star. Would definitely recommend to family and friends."
