"Great place to stay. Lovely, peaceful location with a tasty breakfast. We were in room 2, it was a nice big room but I feel it was overpriced for what it is. There were 3 big stains on the carpet, broken light switch near the bed, pillows were lumpy and I felt it just needed a good deep clean/freshen up. For almost ยฃ200 I was a little disappointed. Wouldnโt put me off staying again as we loved the location and only a 10 minute walk into town."

"The room was small but nicely decorated. Only gripe was TV was a bit temperamental which might have been me. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Location is by a main road but very convenient for Ludlow and local area. Plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful."

"The Lion is a beautifully restored historic JEM in the heart of the rolling hills, expansive fields and rivers of Wales. Next to the Famous Fairgrounds and lively town center make it a must."

"I made a last minute booking whilst on a bike tour through mid Wales. There are no rooms on the ground floor so the staff were really helpful to store my bike in a secure place as my room was on the second floor. The restaurant was closed by the time managed to shower and get myself sorted at 8.50pm, none the less there is a local Turkish place were I managed to have a delicious healthy meal to fuel me the next day. The hot breakfast at the hotel was very good."

"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."

"The room was clean however it is smaller than we expected but it was worth for money. Free parking available however it gets busy in the evening because the people those who are coming to pub also use the same carpark. The hotel situated in a great location. Aldi and Tesco Extra are few minutes walking distance. Curry house and kebab shops are close too."

"Room v clean, shame food service finished early but it was Sun-Bank hol so not too much of a surprise. Breakfast good. En-suite could do with a towel rail- used bother sides of door knob in end!"
