Airport Hotels, Erlangen (ZCZ)

"I thought that the check-in time of 4pm was excessive, especially given that the hotel did not seem busy, but I was happy to pay €20 to gain earlier access. Plus the staff that I dealt with during my stay were lovely. The room itself was nice, but had none of those extras that make a hotel stand out (plus there was no conditioner in the dispenser, which I only found out when I went to use it). I cannot remember what the room cost me, but I was clearly getting good value for money. The room was quiet, despite the hotel being on a main road, and an Underground station being right outside was very welcome. Nuremburg itself was very easy to navigate, and quite friendly to being on foot. The trip from the flughafen took about 16 minutes, which was so easy as it did not even require a change of trains. I am giving Scandic Hotels another go in another location this year, and I would not rule out returning to this one at some point."

"I really enjoyed my stay here, what I needed was available. Breakfast was good, they had gf options. I had a rental car and they could provide a parking spot for my stay. The only thing is that the roof top area wasn’t maintained, but a cool feature. I did have to get the iron and board from downstairs ( but with an elevator it’s doable). Thinking of staying with my family next time I visit Germany again."

"4 out the 5 lightbulbs in the only lamp in the bedroom were missing! Light over mirror in bathroom broken! Holes in bedsheet. Burn on bedside table. Curtains did not cover the windows!"

"Staff was amazing and very well positioned property. The only constructive criticism is if you are claiming to be environmentally conscious property with your initiative, i.e: low pressure showers and offering not to change towels and clean the room daily, don’t charge the same fee for guests that support these initiatives versus the guests that do not. Please have some skin in the game before touting green initiatives for your guests."
