"We loved the lobby and the staff was great. My complaints are that the hallway was freezing and there is no coffeemaker in the room. I am guessing they want you to buy coffee at the cafe downstairs but it was definitely not open enough to make this practical. Overall, we would stay again but would definitely like to see a coffee maker next time."

"We often travel to Michigan to visit family and staying at St. John's Resort was on the wish list. This most recent visit we booked a couple nights of the trip. This particular weekend St. John's was dealing with two large wedding celebrations but staff were still available to us for questions. Their famous steakhouse was prohibitively expensive for us so we tried a small meal for brunch. The server was attentive to us and all the tables he was tending. The food was good but nothing exceptional. The room was immaculate and well stocked with supplies. However, compared to the Hilton we'd just come from this room was smaller. The best aspect of the room was the quiet HVAC system. We were not awakened by a noisy heating/cooling unit; this was completely quiet. The bed linens were OK (the standard for us was Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.). If you're picky about having a firm pillow. pack your own. St. John's pillows are medium firmness. It wasn't terrible, we just had higher expections and turned out to be just OK."

"Most horrible hotel experience. Missed our connection in Detroit because our prior flight had to make an emergency landing earlier in the day. Arrived at 1:22am. Had a paid reservation made at this hotel prior to leaving Atlanta. When we arrived at this hotel, there were at least 50 people standing in line to check-in. There was only one person checking in people. We stood in line for 2 hours and still had 20 people in front of us. We never got to check in! We gave up and went back to the airport. We tried calling customer service (got voice mail) and messaging the main office via Facebook and emailing the CEO. We never hear back from anyone. I have travelled around the world. I will never stay at a best western again and I will tell everyone to avoid them too."

"the room was tidy and clean, and the staff was helpful when my keycard stopped working. the shower door was a bit wonky but easy to figure out and breakfast was a little sad. overall a pretty nice place to stay for a few days, even though its right next to the airport i didn't hear any planes, the noise level was manageable. i would stay here again."
