Detroit is way past the days of being a city to avoid. From Greektown and Bricktown to Corktown and Hamtramck, there's a ton of great bars, restaurants & hotels. Throw in the casinos and you have a great place to visit. I love this city.

Absolutely anyone with kids should visit the Michigan Science Center. Belle Isle is also a can't miss with so many options and so much history. Dossin Great Lakes Museum is super interactive and fun for kids of any age.
