We had the best stay at Avondrood. The location was great to easily walk along the main road in the town with all the restaurants and shops etc. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms spacious and luxurious but what really stood out was the staff. Not only were they just lovely individuals, they couldn't do enough to recommend places to eat, vineyards to drink at and ensured that we had the most amazing stay. Don't hesitate to book Avondrood.

This was such a special place to stay, feel like we found a little slice of paradise! The accommodation was stunning, the grounds amazing, the pool area gorgeous! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, breakfast was gorgeous and cooked to order! Unbelievable stay, wish we had longer there ❤️

When you travel a lot, sometimes your experiences tend to get lost in the fog of it all.... This trip was different for us - and it was entirely the fault of Yves and Valerie! While this was our fourth trip to Cape Town, it was the first time we felt like we were coming home. Carmichael is much better than just a guesthouse - it is a local home away from home. The facilities, the rooms and the breakfasts were of course outstanding. But rarely do you find such a warm and welcoming environment....

We had the most incredible stay at Mont Rochelle! We were staying for our honeymoon and it was our first stay in our 2 week trip and now that the 2 weeks is up I can confidently say that we stayed in 4 5* hotels during our stay in Cape Town and Mont Rochelle was by far the best, a league above the rest. A fabulous small boutique hotel 20 mins from city centre. Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic restaurant with stunning tasting menu experience and wine list. We can highly recommend as an alternative to the city centre option

Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must. This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it.

The hotel had only been open for 5 weeks when we stayed, but we were very impressed with the operation and the facilities available. Very large bed was really comfortable, aircon worked well and the balcony opening out on to a young vineyard was a lovely extra touch. I was delighted when I arrived at Ocean View House. Everything, from the drive in to the room and hotel facilities, was lovely and far exceeded my expectations. I was very sorry to be staying for only one night at the end of my 3 weeks in South Africa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome and special as one of their guests. A perfect country house set amongst a vineyards, with comfort and service levels to match. Holden Manz is a working vineyard and produces some very nice wines; you can try these as part of an organised wine tasting, or with dinner in the very nice restaurant on site.
