"Staff should acknowledge one someone is speaking to them, they were paying more attention to their cell and to other personal conversations among themselves. I had to go to the Starbucks area, to have someone help me, because the person that was at the check in station would not acknowledge I was there. Also there was a smell of sewer in the restroom the whole time. The pool area adults had alcoholic drinks in the pool and intoxicated so our grandchildren were unable to enjoy the pool. The staff including the housekeepers lack courtesy towards others. I was told they accommodate me with another sofa bed and it didn’t happen, I feel I was told this to rid themselves of me also I asked for toilet paper one night and the following day the cleaning staff took it stating I was only allowed 2 rolls, I had 5 people in the room and the housekeeper was very rude, and was adamant not to return the 2 rolls she took. We didn’t have shampoo nor body wash left I called the front desk and I was told to tell who cleaned my room. The refrigerator was not working, it was replaced at 10:30 that day. I will never stay there again and my other family members will never stay there as well. The parking is horrible as well."

"We enjoyed our stay here all of the staff were very friendly & helpful! It was clean & always smelt nice. We enjoyed the pool especially the quiet hour at night it was very peaceful. We loved the bar we had a couple drinks there atmosphere was pleasant! The only thing we didn’t like was the ac control we constantly had to make sure it was on if not the room would get really hot."

"The Magnolia is a no fuss location where they get the important things right. I have stayed at the hotel several times in 2026. Each time the staff was excellent, my room (standard Queen) was good sized and clean, the bed was comfortable and the environment was reasonably quiet for being in the middle of downtown. The value for location is unmatched in Dallas. Close to dining and all the major cultural and historic attractions in Dallas. Convenient to transit."

"We pulled up and there were four men working valet. All four of them just sat there, my husband basically had to walk up to them to ask if they were valet for the location. The bad thing is when we first pulled up we pulled to the valet for the hotel before and they ran out and was so eager to help we quickly regretted not choosing that hotel. The hotel is very dated. We requested a microwave and it stopped working a couple times. The water to the toilet just would run and run until you went to jiggle the handle and there was a beep that went off all night long. It was very high pitched and the only thing we could figure was it had something to do with the air being turned on in the room. I would never stay here again the pictures they put online had to have been Photoshopped."
