"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"Nice ryokan hotel located at the hillside with great view. A simply cosy dinner was served in room and the breakfast buffet was great in main dining area. The condition is run down but most part of the premise is well maintained. Some parts e.g. kids playroom and the indoor onsen are not clean. "

"This was our first visit to beppu and first stay at this location. At first glance it looks older, but the staff met us halfway as we walked from the bus stop. This was the only hotel that did that and highlighted the start of a great stay with great service. They took us all the way to the front desk and provided us great service to the room. We chose a private open air Onsen and traditional setting, which they fixed our rooms each day. We could see the ocean on one side and mountain (for fire...

"Such a great stay. The location is near to both the bus station and the train station. The room is very well equipped and clean. There is also a lounge where you can hang out during the stay. Check in staff was so nice and got us a room upgrade. Would definitely be back here when we visit Yufuin again"
